MUMBAI, INDIA: CBaySystems, a transcription technology and service provider, recently announced the expansion of its Indian operations with a new centre in Navi Mumbai.
Located at Mindspace, Airoli, this 45,000 sq ft centre can seat over 800 employees. The facility was inaugurated by V. Raman Kumar, chairman and MD, CBaySystems (India) Pvt. Ltd, said a press release.
Speaking on the occasion, Kumar said this centre would enable CBaySystems to accelerate its growth plans in Mumbai.
“We plan to grow our employee strength at this centre to 800 by end 2010. This is in line with our larger growth strategy to increase our total workforce India to 9000 by 2010 from the current strength of 6200,” he added.
CBaySystems said it sees tremendous potential for providing medical transcription services to the US healthcare outsourcing market. The acquisition of 70 per cent equity in MedQuist in 2008 has catapulted CBaySystems to become a market leader in the US medical transcription industry. With a highly skilled workforce, CBaySystems operates out of a network of 42 centres spread over 11 cities, the release added.
