Due to poor enrolment of Aadhaar cards, the implementation of the UID programme has been delayed in the Anantapur district since three months.

This has resulted in deferment in the implementation of the Cash Transfer scheme.

According to a report on Deccan Chronicle, nearly 40 per cent of LPG consumers are yet to furnish details of Aadhaar and bank accounts with agencies and banks where they had SB accounts.

Satyanarayana has asked the civil supplies deputy tahsildars to ensure that the UID numbers are seeded with related offices, agencies and banks on time. Moreover, they have to send a daily progress report to the DSO reporting about the developments of the programme in the district.
