Under the agreement, Digital River will continue to manage Capcom’s online store to support the sale and physical delivery of Capcom Entertainment products in North America. In addition, Digital River is providing added e-marketing services and optimized e-commerce and distribution capabilities to assist in the sales of Collector’s Edition products exclusive to the Capcom online store.

“We are pleased to extend our relationship with Capcom, helping them further capitalize on the growing direct-to-consumer potential in the games market,” said Jeff Hemenway, Digital River’s Group Vice President of Games. “We look forward to providing them even more advanced e-commerce and e-marketing services and creating a new avenue for them to deliver their exclusive line of limited edition products to their loyal customer base.”

With the solution, Capcom can run a specialty store fully optimized to promote specific price points, offer extra controls over available inventory and integrate the latest social media marketing tools. To increase its market reach and site traffic, Capcom also is using Digital River’s managed e-marketing programs, which include search engine optimization.

“Working with Digital River, we’ve been able to strengthen our online presence, grow revenue and develop more direct-to-consumer relationships,” said Seon King, Senior Director of Capcom’s Media and Consumer Products group.
