Canon Virginia selects Avata Business Cloud to improve supply chain forecasting

SAN FRANCISCO, USA: Avata, Inc., a strategy and implementation consulting firm focused on supply chain management, announced today that Canon Virginia, Inc. has selected Avata to optimize their supply chain utilizing the Avata Business Cloud to deliver a complete hosted/SaaS solution for the Oracle Value Chain Planning Suite.

Canon Virginia, a global manufacturer for Canon's office and consumer products, is embarking on a project to attain best-in-class supply chain performance by improving processes from demand planning and S&OP to production scheduling and supply chain business intelligence.

Canon Virginia's evolving business model led the company to seek ways to improve margins, reduce inventory levels and reduce overall supply chain costs. Focusing on improving process agility, flexibility and effectiveness, and to improve business forecasting capabilities, Canon Virginia will deploy the Oracle Value Chain software in the Avata Business Cloud, leveraging Avata's strategy and implementation services to drive this business process re-engineering project.

The Avata Business Cloud, through the Oracle Business Process Services program, provides Oracle software, hardware and managed services via a monthly subscription that simplifies operations and accelerates time-to-value.
