Under this channel partner engagement program, partners were taken for a four-day tour to Hong Kong and Macau along with a trip to Disney Land as a reward for their performance in the past financial year. ‘Wings of Glory’ was rewarded to acknowledge those partners who did more than Rs 1 crore business with Canon in the previous year and grew by over 30 percent.

Under this motivational program Canon rewarded its top 61 partners across its channels from all product divisions. The goal of this program was to create a bond between Canon and its partners in an 'out of office' environment. This year Canon also invited spouses to join the channel partners in the trip. Canon India’s President and CEO, Senior VP, all Directors and National Sales Heads across all the businesses accompanied the winners.

Alok Bharadwaj, Senior VP—Canon India said, “As the name suggests 'Wings of Glory' is to glorify the top performing partners with Canon and engage with them to motivate them to outperform themselves. It is one of Canon’s annual property that focuses on the growth and business benefits of their esteemed partners. The performance for the last financial year is acknowledged through this platform. This initiative has been running for the past seven years. The concept has been well accepted by the partners and the experience is being rated as the best in the industry. During the awards night, the spouses were invited to receive the special plaque. We feel that apart from us, the spouse of the partners will be encouraging them to achieve the targets next year.”

The three divisional heads—VP Sajeevan of Consumer System Products, Shunichi Senda of Image Communication Products and Rajeev Tewari of Business Imaging Solutions—had individual sessions with respective channel partners during one of the days.
