Canon launches one-stop printing soln for SMBs

NEW DELHI, INDIA:

Canon India Pvt. Limited, a digital imaging solutions company, on Wednesday announced the launch of Printeaze, a software solution that will allow SMBs and enterprises to analyze all the print and copying processes within the organization.

Printeaze is designed to serve as a one stop solution for print management needs with more features such as accounting the print, fax, scan and copy functions or sending automatic e-mails to the users which include information like budget exceed, printing restriction etc., said a press release.

“We have been addressing key concerns of CIOs and CTOs of large organizations for quite some time by building intelligence into our MFDs for years. We had also introduced Managed Document Services as a unique& differentiated one stop holistic solution in the Enterprise space,” said Dr. Alok Bharadwaj, Sr. VP, Canon India.

He added, “Now is the time for SMEs, workgroups and small departments to harness on the simple, powerful solution that will enable them to balance the full impact of color printing in a highly cost effective way. We here named it as ‘Printeaze'.”

The Small and Medium Enterprise segment in India shows great promise and scope for growth. As the SMEs grow their business so does their need for infrastructure and peripherals to set up a smooth running office.

Though the demand for printing and copying devices is increasing rapidly, the downside is the increase in IT spending for these companies. According to Gartner Enterprises are slated to spend almost 1-2 per cent of the total revenue on their printing expenditure.

Canon India addresses this need of Small and medium enterprises in India by incorporating ‘Printeaze’ as a business solution with low cost solution that will help them track the documents which are getting printed.

Dr. Bharadwaj further added, “With this, we now have a basket of software solutions to cater to digitized, workflow & print management architecture for SMBs and Large Enterprises. We intend to increase our solutions customer base to 100 by deploying these set of solutions by Dec 2011.”
