Canon India launches 'Namma Benguluru'

BANGALORE, INDIA: Canon India Pvt. Ltd launched a new city specific campaign – Namma Bengaluru- in the city The project aims to increase Canon’s presence and mind share. The campaign focuses on Canon’s Consumer Products’ Division that deals with the range of its IT peripherals. Canon expects to double its market share of 'All–in–Ones' from 9 percent to 20 percent within six months under this project.

Prior to the Namma Bengaluru campaign, Canon had launched two campaigns – ‘Aamchi Mumbai’ and 'Haamari Delhi.’ The campaigns were successful in increasing penetration in these markets as well as strengthening Canon’s presence in the digital imaging market segment.

Speaking on the launch of the Bangalore project Kensaku Konishi, president and CEO, Canon India said, “Bengaluru is a very important market for Canon in southern India. We see an opportunity of growth in this market relying on our strong product portfolio that is built on state-of-the-art technology and uncompromising performance and gels well with the city”.

“We are looking at making Canon as the second most preferred choice of brand in all major cities. With higher incidence of home printing, 'Namma Bengaluru’ project is best customized project for the city. The focus will be to position our category as ‘must have it’ device in homes,” said Alok Bharadwaj, senior vice president, Canon India.
