Canon and Adobe extends their alliance

NEW DELHI: Helping organizations reach new levels of printing, scanning and document security in office environments, Canon and Adobe Systems have entered into a global agreement to embed Adobe technology into Canon's newest family of office document solutions. This agreement is an extension of an alliance between the two companies established in 2005.

Leveraging this partnership, Canon will promote a number of Adobe technologies within the new Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE Series, benefiting knowledge workers in the areas of document output, work flow and security.

“Working with industry-leading partners such as Adobe has allowed us to develop value added capabilities on the imageRUNNER ADVANCE platform through which we expect to deliver tremendous benefits to regional and global organizations,” said Sam Yoshida,VP and GM, Canon USA. “The combination of Canon's advanced innovation and Adobe's industry-leading technologies will allow both companies to offer their customers enhanced document management solutions as well as improved document security,” he added.

“Canon and Adobe share a great heritage in providing compelling document solutions to the market,” said Naresh Gupta, senior VP-Print and Publishing at Adobe. “With the integration of Adobe PDF technology into Canon's leading office imaging products, enterprises will be able to turn paper documents into intelligent, policy-protected PDFs and further maximize their return on investment.”
