Within this co-operation, Felicitas uses EAGLE as a front end for their simulation tool for signal integrity, PCBSim, which will be available through a newly developed interface.

PCBSim simulates the signal propagation of high-speed digital systems based on transmission lines, IBIS- and s-parameter models. The tool allows users to analyze and, if necessary, correct a design very early in the design cycle for signal integrity issues.

PCBSim contains a transmission line calculator, an IBIS viewer and an s-parameter editor. In addition, it integrates a complete SPICE simulator with special extensions for the simulation of IBIS- and s-parameter models.

EAGLE is a user-friendly, powerful and affordable software for efficient circuit board design (PCB design) and combines the schematic editor, layout editor and autorouter on one single interface. Shared Open Source User Language Programs (ULPs) guarantee maximum flexibility by enabling various features such as 3d visualization, realization of individual instruction sequences, data export and import and now simulation with PCBSim.
