Cabinet committee on security approves cyber security policy

NEW DELHI, INDIA: The Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) approved the National Cyber Security Policy on Wednesday.

Government's National Cyber Security Policy aims at providing secure computing environment in the country. The policy will also focus on strengthening the current infrastructure and country's local capabilities to enhance cyber security infrastructure.

"This policy caters for the whole spectrum of ICT users and providers including small and home users, medium and large enterprises and government and non-government entities," a PTI report quoted an Official from the Department of Information Technology, as saying.

The National Cyber Security Policy also intends to have a security framework that will resolve all pending issues and will help authorities to take necessary actions and develop programmes to boost security posture of country's cyber space.
