“With billions of dollars at stake, CSPs understand that meeting customer expectations is the top priority,” said Christopher Cook, general manager, Service Assurance, CA Technologies. “At the same time, they want to ensure optimal performance of their internal networks. Combining the technology and expertise from Torokina with our existing service assurance solutions, CA Technologies can now offer ‘one-stop shopping’ for CSPs to help them ensure optimized services and network availability to customers and internal users.”

Using one solution to manage both customer-facing service networks and internal IT operations helps CSPs reduce cost and improve efficiency, says the company.

The acquisition builds on CA Technologies service assurance strategy to address customer requirements in three key areas, application performance management (APM), infrastructure management (IM), and service operations management.

“CSPs face a growing challenge to manage the new gear being added to meet the explosion in demand for mobile broadband services,” said Chris Gibbs, formerly the vice president of worldwide sales and operations at Torokina Networks, and now a vice president of solution sales for CA Technologies. “Already a success with customers, the CA Technologies service assurance portfolio combined with the Torokina technology and professional services expertise provides the ability for CSPs to proactively manage end-to-end their investments in 3G/4G and LTE infrastructures while reducing the time to value.”

Torokina Networks’ operations and employees, based in Sydney, Australia, are now part of the Service Assurance business at CA Technologies.
