CA supports IBM DB2 10 for z/OS

MUMBAI, INDIA: CA Technologies today announced  "Day One" support for IBM  DB2 10 for z/OS across more than 30 products, including CA Database Management for DB2 for z/OS, CA ACF2,  CA Top Secret security management solutions and CA Easytrieve application reporting.

A release said that the support helps customers maximize the benefits of the new DB2 release, and help provide for the integrity and security of critical organizational assets.

In addition, CA Mainframe Software Manager  (CA MSM) eases the upgrade process and accelerates time-to-benefit as customers move to DB2 10.

“Same day support for IBM’s DB2 10 is a demonstration of CA Technologies commitment to enabling customers to simplify the management of the mainframe and improve operational efficiency” said Dayton Semerjian, general manager, Mainframe, CA Technologies. “Using our management products, customers can leverage greater agility to support business needs, while helping to drive down costs.”

Additionally, the upcoming r14.5 release of CA Database Management for DB2 for z/OS is being engineered to help customers save time and money by addressing database and application performance issues, simplifying database administration, and improving backup and recovery efficiency.

CA Technologies is also developing its new CA Mainframe Chorus for DB2 Database Management workspace to support DB2 10, the release said.
