CA names Saurabh Srivastava as chairman

BANGALORE, INDIA: CA, Inc. announced that Saurabh Srivastava would take over as chairman of CA India, effective from April 6, 2009. The announcement was made by Michael Christenson, president and chief operating officer, CA. 

Srivastava would report to Christensen and look into CA’s India sales and development operations. CA had offices in Mumbai, Bangalore and New Delhi and an R&D facility in Hyderabad.

Part of CA’s long term strategy is maximize penetration into emerging IT market powerhouses such as India. Saurabh, in the unique role of chairman of CA India, brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience about the Indian market and IT industry, which will be invaluable as we seek to expand our operations in India and position ourselves appropriately with the country’s technology elite, government and venture capital communities," Christensen said.
