CA named leader in job scheduling software mkt

MUMBAI, INDIA: IT services provider CA today announced that it is the worldwide 2008 market-leading vendor in job scheduling, based on total software revenue, as per Gartner, Inc.'s report, titled "Market Share: IT Operations Management Software, Worldwide, 2008."

The report marks the fourth consecutive year that CA has been ranked as the overall worldwide market leader in job scheduling, said a press release.

CA's share of the job scheduling software market continues to grow. In 2008, the company attained 27.7 per cent of the one billion dollar market, an increase of 12 per cent over 2007.

"We believe Gartner's Market Share report reaffirms that CA is uniquely addressing critical IT management issues by delivering the world's leading solution for job scheduling, which is essential for achieving Lean IT," said Roger Pilc, corporate senior vice president and general manager of CA's Infrastructure Management and Automation business unit. "We feel this recognition demonstrates CA's ability to meet customer demand for a workload automation solution that helps improve service delivery while reducing the cost of service delivery."
