CA brings database management solutions for DB2

BANGALORE, INDIA: On the heels of announcing a wave of new Mainframe 2.0 deliverables, CA Technologies announced a new release of CA Database Management Solutions for DB2 for z/OS.

New capabilities across database performance management, database administration and database back-up and recovery are targeted at reducing the costs and effort of maintaining DB2 for z/OS environments.

"Our DB2 for z/OS customers have a critical need to simplify management and improve operational efficiency," said Dayton Semerjian, corporate senior vice president and general manager for CA Technologies' Mainframe business unit.
