BANGALORE: Computer Associates (CA) India has announced its plans to organize
a series of road shows in six cities to address the security market in the SME
segment. According to the company, these road shows, to be held from July 26th
to August 20th, will be organized in selected 'A' and 'B' class cities. Delhi,
Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad and Bangalore are some of the cities to be
covered by the event.
According to CA, this activity will help it to address the rising security
concerns in the SME segment, with focussed implementation of its solutions.
"In other words, we would provide 'data security in a box' tuned to the
customers respective environment, helping them address any security
issues," says India & SAARC of CA Channels Head Pravir Arora.
CA has engaged four to five implementation partners and around 15 to 20
channel partners for sales fulfillment in the six cities. The company plans to
organize similar activities in the 'C' class cities shortly. CA also announced
its plans to launch an exclusive bundled solution targeted at the SME segment
during the road show.
The company also announced its plans to engage selected partners from the
country who have developed skills on CA's eTrust. This is a solution that
provides security for mission-critical resources from the browser to the
mainframe for e-business.
