C-DOT woos telcos

NEW DELHI: Telecom R&D center Center for Development of Telematics (C-DoT) has decided to partner with telecom companies (Basic/Cellular operators) to provide total telecom solutions. This was stated at the Partnership summit organized by C-DoT in New Delhi, which brought together leading telecom operators BSNL, Bharti, Shyam, Idea, TATA Teleservices, MTNL, etc.

The major objective of the partnership summit was to apprise the Telecom companies about the C-DoT's technical strengths, products, technologies and solutions and its plans to develop technologies for the requirements of telecom markets.

BSNL CMD Prithipal Singh said that operators are at pressure to meet customer expectations in terms of quality of service and reduce tariff.
