C&S to act as country associates for NetLink

NEW DELHI: NetLink Technologies Ltd., Chennai-based software development

company, has announced that it has entered into an agreement with C&S (a

joint venture between Computer Associates International Inc. and



Satyam Computers) under which the latter would act as the country associate for
NetLink's pioneering ASP solution "SalesMIS.net".






SalesMIS.net is an online field sales information management system, which gives
features and options to organizations for managing their field sales force and

obtaining critical MIS. SalesMIS.net is already being implemented in some parts

of the manufacturing, textiles, consumer products, industrial products and

consumer services sectors. NetLink would now work closely with C&S to

identify emerging domain areas where SalesMIS.net can be extended to, and

provide user inputs that would lead to the development of industry-specific

templates.






Executives and managers of companies that subscribe to SalesMIS.net are provided
with unique login IDs



and passwords. Executives can log in from wherever they are on the field and
enter their call reports, the details of orders, collections and balance stock

with channels. Managers can log in and immediately view all the call reports of

all the executives under them and provide their feedback and recommendations on

each call. When the executives log on the next time, they can view their earlier

call reports with their manager's comments and they have the full information to

handle their prospects and customers.






Based on the information entered in the call reports, SalesMIS.net provides
product performance reports,



executive performance reports, collection reports, channel stock analysis and
prospect tracking.



SalesMIS.net system executives can view their own performance reports, whereas
managers can view the performance of the entire sales team under them and can

drill-down to individual performance. Executives and managers can also use

additional functionalities at SalesMIS.net like the call planner and contact

management. All the features and functionalities are aimed at assisting sales

executives in organizing their activities and providing them with MIS on their

own sales performance, so that they are more effective on the field.






As an ASP offering, SalesMIS.net customers need not invest in any additional
hardware or software. They only need to sign up a subscription for all their

users of SalesMIS.net and renew the subscription periodically based on usage.
