Business Communications Solutions

Features: Cisco Systems has introduced its Business Communications Solutions, which includes a tailored family of products, services and support to help businesses control costs and improve operational efficiencies. The solution is targeted at small to medium businesses (SMBs) and mid market companies.



In India, the solution will be offered as part of the new Cisco SMB Class Solutions. As part of the solution, Cisco also launched SMB-class Catalyst Express 500 series for entry level switching family and a new version of IP Communications portfolio. This includes new IPC Communications applications and an expanded line of XML-enabled IP phones.



Cisco Business Communications Solution system for SMB customers with 20-250 employees is based on the Cisco Catalyst Express 500 Series switches. These are built specifically for businesses who want to run converged networks and the IP Communications Express Solution, and the IP Communications Express Solution featuring Cisco Call Manager Express and Cisco unity Express within the Cisco Integrated Services Router (ISR).



Cisco also introduced new versions of Cisco CallManager Express (CME) and Cisco Unity Express. The CallManager Express 3.3 features embedded "MeetMe" conferencing for 20-96 users, enhanced call routing and queuing capabilities and increased security.



Cisco Unity 2.2 offers new Auto Attendant integration with Basic Automatic Call Distribution and five new languages. They are available immediately and are free upgrades to customers with SmartNet support contracts.



For its channel partners, Cisco is introducing the Cisco IP Communications Express Quick Configuration Tool to speed the configuration and deployment of a fully converged, small office voice and data solution, using the Cisco ISR with CME and Utility Express.



Cisco also introduced the Cisco SMB Support Assistant featuring the SMB Support Assistant portal, client electronic tools, software bug fixes and advance hardware replacement delivered next business day, where available.
