SALT LAKE CITY, USA: Bungee Labs announced built-in support for Mozilla Firefox 3.0 within the Bungee Connect platform-as-a-service (PaaS). Bungee Connect completely eliminates the complexity, time and cost of browser-specific programming from the lifecycle of creating and delivering business-grade web applications. All applications built on the Bungee platform are inherently accessible from the most popular browsers (Firefox, Internet Explorer and Safari).

For the past six months, Bungee Labs has been working with the beta versions of Firefox 3.0 to ensure that at general availability, support for Firefox 3.0 would be automatically built-in for every Bungee-powered application, including applications built prior to the release of Firefox 3.0.

“Bungee Connect’s unique platform architecture removes complex and time-consuming tasks that normally exist in the lifecycle of developing and deploying business-grade web applications, including writing browser-specific code,” said David Mitchell, founder and CTO of Bungee Labs. “By supporting Firefox 3.0 and all of the major browsers, businesses can reliably deliver highly interactive web applications to a greater number of end users without the investment of time and money required by traditional web application platforms.”

Companies use Bungee Connect to build web-based applications with desktop-like user experiences, then instantly deploy them on the Bungee Grid multi-tenant grid infrastructure or on Bungee Application Servers running on self-managed infrastructure.
