Buffalo intros Pro LS-VL NAS system

BANGALORE, INDIA: Buffalo Technology, a manufacturer of wired and wireless networking storage solutions, announced the launch of LinkStation Pro LS-VL series network storage (NAS) system in India.

The company claims that the new NAS system offers instant storage expansion and file access on your home network and over the Internet.

"Significantly faster than a USB hard drive, LinkStation Pro features a fast 1.6 GHz processor for maximum transfer speeds up to 76 MBps. Simply plug it into any network Ethernet port or into the back of your wireless router and instantly access it on any networked computer in your house,” said Susumu Kobayashi, country head, Buffalo Technology.

The company also claims that the device can store or back-up files from multiple PCs, laptops or Mac computers in one central location, stream content directly to any DLNA compatible media player, and can be used with Time Machine back-up.

Available in two capacities, the 1.0 TB (LS-V1.0TL) is priced at Rs.12,500 and 2.0 TB (LS-V2.0TL) at Rs.16,500 with a warranty of three years.
