BANGALORE, INDIA: BT Frontline has successfully completed the acquisition of Frontline Technologies and the new company, called BT Frontline, will start operations immediately, the company has said.
BT Frontline, a wholly owned subsidiary of British Telecommunications plc, provides IT consulting, IT infrastructure services, systems integration and IT outsourcing to local, regional and multinational customers across various verticals.
A company statement said that BT Frontline complements the parent firm's existing networked IT services and IT solutions capabilities.
With this acquisition, BT is now enhancing its transformation into a customer-driven, networked IT solutions provider that has the ability to offer a range of IT solutions in 170 countries worldwide where it has operations.
In the Asia Pacific, BT will conduct business under the BT brand name. The acquired firm will operate alongside BT as BT Frontline.
The new entity hopes this co-branding approach will help it maintain and leverage the regional brand equity and goodwill of the Frontline name.
BT Frontline’s wholly owned operations include undertakings in Singapore, Malaysia and Dalian in China.
