BSNL's upgraded broadband speed is not enough

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Broadband speed has been a major concern among Indian users. Though operators claim certain broadband speed, they do not ensure quality of services to consumers. Speed varies from city to city and timing of the usage.

BSNL has taken a good initiative to grab more broadband subscribers by upgrading the speed. It has also announced new tariff plans. But this is seen as a response to some of the leading broadband players' recent broadband offerings.

BSNL, the country's leading broadband player based on subscriber-base, has upgraded minimum download speed to 512 kbps in its unlimited download tariff plans offered to home and general users.
