BSNL, MTNL want the 3G, BWA fees reimbursed

NEW DELHI, INDIA: India's Ministry of Communications & Information Technology has requested the Finance Minister to consider the request of BSNL and MTNL to reimburse the fees paid for 3G and BWA Spectrum in view of the immense social, rural and Government obligations shouldered by them, said Minister of State for Communications & Information Technology, Shri Sachin Pilot in a statement.

For 3G spectrum, BSNL has paid Rs 10186.58 crore, while MTNL has paid Rs 6564 crore. Meanwhile BSNL has paid Rs 8313.8 crore and MTNL Rs 4533.97 crore for BWA spectrum, the statement added.
