Even as the implementation of MNP is likely to be delayed from the scheduled date of September 20, the PSU, which hopes to attract substantial number of users from the rivals like Bharti Airtel and Reliance Communications, has called for expression of interest for MNP gateway, said the report.

The bidder should have supplied, installed, integrated, tested and commissioned MNP gateway in the network of at least two Telecom Service Providers in any country, according to the tender notice.

Recently BSNL had reported a dip in the profit and had announced plans of tower sharing with other service providers to raise the revenue.
