BSE adopts SSI solution for Internet trading

BANGALORE: SSI Technologies, the software development division of SSI Limited, an end-to-end IT solutions architect has announced that the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) has adopted SecuraTRADE. SecuraTRADE is a Web-based trading solution of IndigoMARKETS Inc. of Bermuda, a joint venture of SSI and NASD (National Association of Securities Dealers). The solution can be used to enable Internet trading of stocks.



Indigo Markets was established in January 2000 to create Internet-based trading and market systems for global markets, including NASD Japan and NASD Europe.



"With technology advancing at an unprecedented rate, the customer needs a solution that jump-starts to total online global operations, SecuraTRADE is functionally rich, remarkably user-friendly and extremely secure. It will offer flexible and versatile implementations to suit specific customer requirements," said SSI Technologies CEO Keshava Shriniwas.



Designed and specially developed for brokerage houses and financial institutions who need to provide cross-country brokerage services to their customers, SecuraTRADE enables brokerages and stock exchanges to quickly and easily install powerful Web-based trading sites on the Internet to service the investors.



SecuraTRADE’s architecture is based on Microsoft’s Component Object Model (COM) and Web-enabled using MS ASP. Latest tools have been deployed to achieve the objectives of robust execution and scalability, and a fault tolerant distributed enterprise application. Comprehensive security has been achieved through user and server authentication, message integrity and confidentiality and security firewalls.
