Brocade verifies Riverbed WAN optimization soln

BANGALORE, INDIA: Riverbed Technology announced that Brocade Communications Systems Inc. has verified its WAN optimization solutions as compatible with Brocade 7500/FR4-18i Blade.

Testing was conducted at Brocade Data Center Ready labs, according to the testing requirements of the Brocade Data Center Ready Program.

Enterprises leverage Riverbed wide area network (WAN) optimization to speed the performance of applications between remote offices, private data centres and mobile workers.

“We’ve worked closely with Brocade on product testing to ensure interoperability and simplified product integration that will provide our customers with increased performance. This can significantly reduce the need to upgrade bandwidth – allowing companies to make their current infrastructure more efficient,” said Venugopal Pai, vice president, alliances, Riverbed.

Patric Chang, director, Strategic Alliances, Brocade, said: “As storage area networks are being deployed worldwide at a rapid rate, customers now have the added confidence that these technologies can be utilized where appropriate as part of scalable, high-performance networking environments.”
