The networking major has announced the additions and enhancements, including distributed services and consolidated management to its ambitious HyperEdge architecture introduced in 2012. Brocade HyperEdge, the company said, delivers network agility and automation.

Brocade regional director for India Edgar Dias said that with new set of features, they are bringing in a radical intervention around unified wired and wireline infrastructure. Dias feels that network is a critical component to offer services over the Internet. "Services like healthcare can't be sluggish," he added.

"With HyperEdge architecture, Brocade brings hardware and software technologies to fore to facilitate networks," Dias said. The new solution, he said, aims at reducing complexity that also shrinks latency and layers. "As IT resources get over stretched, it impedes organizational ability to innovate," he opined.
