Broadcom intros new switch for mobile backhaul

BANGALORE, INDIA: Chip-maker Broadcom Corporation announced its latest StrataXGS switch solution, designed to manage the wireless data traffic and carrier transition to 4G mobile networks.

Broadcom says that its StrataXGS chip is capable of 1000x more bandwidth, allowing carriers to upgrade legacy backhaul networks and migrate to 4G.
