BANGALORE: MSN with more than 250 million users globally, has launched MSN

Explorer in India. Britannia in a tie up with MSN will be associated with the

marketing and promotional activities.

MSN Explorer in India is localized and tailored to the needs and the

interests of the Indian user, providing them with information such as finance,

music, local weather updates and news. Microsoft Corporation India Pvt. Ltd.

Managing director Rajiv Kaul said, "We are committed to fulfill MSN’s

vision of "Make it your home". It provides a single window for users

to access all key services such as Hotmail, Messenger, Chat, Search, News, Music

etc."

Britannia Industries Ltd. senior vice president - bakery Nikhil Sen said,

"Digital marketing holds great potential for FMCG companies to offer a

complete brand experience to consumers. We at Britannia understand this exciting

opportunity offered by the Internet."

For users with Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 or later browser software and a

56 Kbps modem, it takes approximately 15 minutes to download the 5 MB MSN

Explorer. To run MSN Explorer, the requirements are a minimum of Pentium 90MHz

processor or faster, Microsoft Windows 95 or 98, Windows Millennium Edition

(Windows Me), or Windows 2000 Operating System, A minimum of 16 MB of RAM, 170

MB of available hard disk space needed to install (after installation, only 60

MB will be used) and 28.8 Kbps or faster modem.
