SAN JOSE, USA: Breker Verification Systems, The SoC Verification Company, has joined the Synopsys in-sync program to build interoperability between TrekSoC, software to generate self-verifying C test cases to run on embedded processors, and two Synopsys product sets, Synopsys VCS functional verification solution and Synopsys discovery VIP library.

Karen Bartleson, senior director of community marketing at Synopsys, Inc. remarks: "Synopsys has a long history of advancing product interoperability through standards bodies and programs of our own, such as in-sync. By joining in-sync, Breker can work with us to help our mutual customers meet their urgent verification needs."

TrekSoC automatically creates portable self-checking test cases for multi-threaded, multi-processor SoC devices to run in simulation under VCS. During simulation, TrekSoC then coordinates the test cases running in the processors with discovery VIP testbench components on the SoC's inputs and outputs.

This combination helps SoC teams by replacing inefficient hand-written full-chip tests with automation capable of generating hundreds or thousands of tests from a single model.

Adnan Hamid, Breker's CEO notes: "We are pleased to become a member of Synopsys' in-Sync Program. TrekSoC has automated the process of writing tests to run on embedded processors, a welcome solution for SoC project teams. Working cooperatively with Synopsys to ensure interoperability between our products will bring further productivity gains for our mutual customers."
