A Brainwave statement said, “Satyam Computers has evinced genuine interest in using this platform for its development activities.”

According to Prateek Sureka, founder and chief architect, Brainwave, "Our database does not require any architecture. Vendors can use the same database for different applications, thereby reducing materially software development costs. This product is our critical asset and we are building our marketing team around this product to deliver quality solutions for our customers in India and abroad."

Brainwave provides vendors with a free software development kit. Each time they develop and deploy an application using the Brainwave platform, the user organization must purchase a license from Brainwave. Additionally, the user may also choose to sign up for annual support.

Three-decade-old Sureka employs about 3000 employees and has 32 offices all over India. Brainwave is the IT initiative of the group.
