MUMBAI: Borland Software Corporation, provider of e-business platform
solutions has partnered with Ingram Micro India for the distribution of Borland
products throughout India.
Under the terms of the agreement, Ingram Micro India will distribute
Borland's Jbuilder, Delphi and C++ Builder rapid application development (RAD)
products to resellers throughout India.
Speaking to mediapersons, Sam Ghebaranious, managing director, Indian
Subcontinent, Borland said that Ingram would help Borland to grow their reach to
the growing small and medium business segment in India. At present, Borland
works with Ingram Micro to deliver Borland products throughout more than 30
countries.
Quoting Nasscom figures for the IT manufacturing sector in India which is
growing at an average rate of 28-30 per cent annually, Ghebranious termed
Borland's relation with Ingram Micro India, a strategic move to capture this
growing market and expand presence in India.
He hopes the relation will help the company meet needs of local software
application developers and businesses. P.G. Kamath, vice president, marketing,
Ingram Micro India said that the partnership would enable Ingram Micro India to
meet the requirements of the software developer community, through distribution
partners.
