Book tickets with your mobile phones

PUNE:Idea Cellular Ltd along with the IRCTC (Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation) has introduced a service for booking railway tickets using the mobile phone. Customers can now book railway tickets through their IDEA mobiles using the voice portal, 'Say IDEA'. Extremely user friendly, a customer can now simply make a call to 456, and follow the simple menu to make a train reservation and get the PNR number in a few minutes.






This service will be provided in English and Hindi. This facility will be available at a fee of Rs 6.99 per minute to all IDEA customers. Besides, a nominal fees of Rs 40 for non A/C and Rs 60 for A/C tickets will be charged by IRCTC for home delivery of the tickets.





Commenting on this unique service, Idea Cellular CEO Vikram Mehmi said, "Customer friendliness and convenience were the key drivers behind conceptualizing this service. In India voice is still the most preferred form of mobile usage and we believe that use of voice based value added services will continue to increase with such user friendly products.
