BMA welcomes SK Telecom

NEW DELHI: SK Telecom has joined the Bridge Mobile Alliance (BMA), increasing the alliance’s combined subscriber base to more that 130 million across 10 territories in Asia.

Welcoming SK Telecom as its 10th operator member, BMA today said in a statement that the collaboration will bring benefits in growing 3G roaming traffic and developing user-friendly features and applications aimed at 3G users across the alliance’s member networks.

SK Telecom has extensive knowledge and expertise in developing 3G mobile services. Eight of the BMA operator members are already 3G operators.

The statement added that the BMA is Asia Pacific’s largest mobile alliance group with more than three million combined 3G subscribers on its member networks.
