B'lore to host international electronic HW expo

BANGALORE: IPCA (Indian Printed Circuit Association), a professional organization representing the interests of the PCB manufacturers and users devoted to promote the welfare and progress of PCB Industry & Business in the country has announced IPCA expo 2004, the first International exposition focused on Electronic Hardware industry.



The exposition jointly organized by MCIT (Ministry of Communications and Information technology, New Delhi) will be organized at The Grand Ashok, Bangalore from September 23 — 25, 2004.



IPCA on the first day of the Expo plans to conduct a workshop for Electronic Designers, and two day Technical Seminar with special focus on 'creating awareness' of 'Lead Free Interconnect Technology' — it's impact on PCB industry & Business and Future Technologies of PCB manufacture. This is to be followed by a business meet of CEO's of PCB manufacturers, Contract manufacturers and PCB users on the third day. According to a press release, IPCA expo 2004 intends to facilitate manufacturers, designers of PCBs and users of PCBs and all other related industrialists to keep themselves abreast of the latest technology trends in the field.



Mukund L Shah, President, IPCA said, "The PCB (Printed Circuit Board) industry, is the backbone of the electronic hardware industry and has been successfully deployed across industries in various countries". He further added, "The benefits of this exciting industry are tremendous and we believe that IPCA expo is the perfect forum for mutual exchange of ideas and technical interactions."



According to the press release, the IPCA expo2004 will be an overall display of products, machinery and state-of-the art-technology with participation of major companies from India and abroad. IPCA expo 2004 will provide a common platform of all the allied players such as: PCB Designers, PCB Manufacturers, Equipment manufacturers, CAD / CAM Software & Service providers, Contract manufacturers — EMS and Equipment & Raw material suppliers.



Some of the foremost companies include AT&S, Circuit Systems India Limited, Shogini Techno-arts, SLN Technologies, Bergen Associates, Schmid — Germany, Uniplus — Taiwan, ATMA — Taiwan, OTS — Korea, HIBEX and Micropak among others.
