NEW DELHI: Network cabling systems firm The Siemon Company today announced the availability of its BladePatch product line in India.

Siemon's new BladePatch cord looks to address high-density patching environments. It features a push-pull boot design to control the latch, enabling easy access and removal of the cord, which is being targeted at high-density blade servers, patch panels, or any equipment with RJ-45 outlets.

The BladePatch is a RJ45-style patch cord which can be inserted and removed without the need to depress an external latch. The patented push-pull internal latching mechanism locks the plug into position when pushed into the outlet or patch panel, and is removed by simply pulling back on the boot.

BladePatch's unique latching design requires less "finger space" around each patch cord. While designed to work with any RJ45-style outlet or patch panel, it finds best utility with blade servers.

"Knowing the performance needs of large enterprise data centres, we found that even organisations that do not yet require 10 Gigabit still struggle with patching density. The new Category 6 UTP and 5e Screened BladePatch cords are a direct response to this market need." says Rajesh Kumar, country manager, Siemon.

Previously available in Siemon's highest-performance 10 Gigabit capable 10G 6 versions, the addition of Cat 6 UTP and Screened 5e versions allows the BladePatch line to support nearly all high-density patching needs. The UL-listed and 100 percent transmission-tested patch cord is also compatible with both T568A and T568B wiring schemes, which allow it to accommodate all Ethernet applications.
