BlackBerry took the stage in Toronto, London, Dubai, Paris, Johannesburg and New York to showcase their products. The launch was also streamed online.

Remarketing the products with a new, unified brand name, the company's CEO Thorsten Heins said at the New York launch that they're hoping to start afresh and rebuild their brand with this launch.

However, within days of the launch of the smartphone BlackBerry Z10, it has already found its way on the online retail website eBay India. The user who has put up the smartphone on sale claims that he has five units of the BlackBeryy Z10 of which one has already been sold.

But the shocking part is that the smartphone is being sold at a whopping Rs. 45,000. ''Brand New Blackberry Z10 BB10 OS, Full Touch Screen..18 months company warrantty...Dispatch after 15th Feb ONLY..'' says the post on eBay India. The phone is priced at 480 pounds in the UK, hence it should cost around Rs. 35,000 in India.

The smartphone was apparently sold online at exorbitant prices abroad as well. On online auction website eBay bids soared to $3,000 for two "very rare" white Z10 devices, according to a British seller. Another from New York was listed at $1,775. Most of them however went for about $1,100, says a report on NDTV.

The new BlackBerry Z10 is a complete touch device with a 4.2-inch capacitive display. The Z10 packs in Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon Dual-core 1.5 GHz Krait processor paired with 2GB RAM. There will also be a 16GB onboard storage along with the expandable memory of up to 32 GB. There is also an 8MP camera that can draw on benefits from the BlackBerry 10 operating system.

Although the features are impressive, would you be willing to shell out Rs. 45,000 for the BlackBerry Z10? Do let us know.
