With new devices, the company aims to meet the consumer expectations. All the three phones have voice-activated searches and near-field communications (NFC) technology. The BlackBerry Curve 9350 is the CDMA-phone while BlackBerry Curve 9380 is the company’s first all-touch display device.

Both the Curve models are priced at Rs. 20,990 while Bold 9790 comes for Rs. 27,470. The company has tied up with Aircel for special data plans. With Aircel, every new subscriber will get free data usage for first two months.

RIM is also planning a tie-up with a service operator for its CDMA device, but it didn’t reveal the name. It said BlackBerry Days are available at its retail stores.

Francois Mahieu, Head - Asia-Pacific product management at RIM, said that India is a rich market that loves touch phones. “We have bundled comprehensive applications and services that include social feeds and BlackBerry Messenger (BBM)."
