NEW DELHI, INDIA: BJP members of a parliamentary panel probing the 2G spectrum allocation walked out of a meeting on Tuesday against the chairman's refusal to call Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to depose, BJP sources said.

A BJP source told IANS that Congress member P.C. Chacko, who heads the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC), had earlier said he would decide on calling Manmohan Singh and Finance Minister P. Chidambaram to depose at the meeting.

The BJP members had returned to the JPC after over a month-long boycott. When they raised the matter with Chacko Tuesday, he refused to heed their demand, the Bharatiya Janata Party source said.

This forced the BJP members to walk out in protest, the source said.
