Birlasoft opens another facility in Noida

NOIDA: Birlasoft (India) Ltd today launched its new development center here.

The 1231-seat facility, located in Sector 63, is spread over 1,28, 000sqft space. The company is already running three centers covering over 200,000sqft and employing more than 2,000 IT professionals in Noida.

Another center spread over 100,000sqft and with seating capacity of 810 seats is under construction near the latest facility and will be functional by middle of next year.

“Birlasoft is in the expansion mode. The last three years have witnessed our headcount more than doubling to 4400. The ramp-up shall continue as we are generating new business opportunities, winning new clients and entering new service and technology domains,” said Kamal Mansharamani, CEO, Birlasoft.

Birlasoft plans to cross the 6,000 headcount by the end of 2008. The company also has development centers in Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad. Besides offices in the USA, UK, Singapore and Australia, Birlasoft has set up offices recently in Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, Amsterdam in Netherlands and Prague in the Czech Republic.
