There is much focus on the negativity of the social media site Twitter, where political battles keep raging on all day and night round the year. However, a philanthropist called Bill Pulte (@pulte) has decided to bring in a huge amount of positivity by distributing money on Twitter indiscriminately to all those who are in need of it.
Bill Pulte became famous for tackling the issue of urban blight in America head-on. Urban blight or urban rot or urban decay is a problem where many parts of cities are decaying and falling apart. Pulte is known for bringing important buildings like schools back to life and populating them.
But now he is making the hashtag #TwitterPhilanthropy trending on Twitter.
A typical Pulte Tweet reads…
✅ Today at Twitter Philanthropy ✅
— Pulte (@pulte) July 28, 2019
✅ Paid for a funeral ($15k) of a 20-year-old killed in a tragic car crash last night. Single mom won’t need to pay for it anymore.
✅ Paid for Electricity and Water ($4.5k) for a Veteran and his kids. Now they can move back into home.

Entrepreneur Andrew Yang, who founded Venture For America, is fighting to get the Democratic ticket for the 2020 US Presidential elections has a novel form of Universal Basic Income, that everyone in the age group of 18-64, should get $1000 a month.
Well, Pulte started by giving $100 to needy people on Twitter, upped it to $1000 and then to $10,000. He even gave $100 to 100 people randomly once. He has used the power of celebrity to distribute money. First, he targeted the sitting US President…
If @realDonaldTrump retweets this, I will give $30,000 to a Veteran on Twitter. @Scavino45 @DanScavino

Then he went after the celebrity reality superstar Kim Kardashian…

Needless to say, both ReTweeted and money were distributed.
While Bill Pulte has already donated hundreds of thousands of dollars, he is upping the stakes as this Tweet shows…
Once I have 1 million followers on Twitter, I will give away $1 million dollars on Twitter. #TwitterPhilanthropy
— Pulte (@pulte) July 11, 2019
Thanks to this, his follower count simply shot up. From the tens of thousands he had before the drive, he has already crossed a quarter of a million followers.
But even $1million is not his end goal.
While chatting on a Periscope via Twitter with Dilbert cartoon strip creator Scott Adams, who has off late become a leading US political commentator, Pulte declared that he knew plenty of American millionaires and billionaires and so his end goal was to get all of them to distribute in excess of $1 billion on Twitter.
Now that would be something!
Finally, here’s a video of Pulte donating a car to a female combat veteran.
