SINGAPORE: Singapore Telecommunications (SingTel), Southeast Asia's largest telecom firm, said its Indian associate Bharti Airtel could look at consolidation opportunities in India in the telecom sector.
"Bharti is in a very position because of its leadership position to look at consolidation," Chua Sock Koong, SingTel's CEO told a news briefing.
She said SingTel is open to "value-accretive" acquisitions, but is under no pressure to do deals.
