Best CRM app award to Maybank

KUALA LUMPUR: MALAYSIA: Singapore-based media, research and intelligence company The Asian Banker has announced that Maybank, the leading financial services group in Malaysia, and its information technology vendor, Teradata Corporation, were named the co-winners of its Best Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Applications Award for 2010. Teradata and Maybank collaborated to develop a high-performance Event Based Management (EBM) system, making Maybank the first bank in Malaysia to do so.

"Teradata event-based marketing tools consist of software-based rules and triggers that detect, analyze and interpret customer interactions, which enable Maybank to provide timely and personalized attention to customers who may be in decision mode with regard to a product or service," said Noel Pettitt, Area Vice President, Teradata Corporation.

Teradata event-based marketing at Maybank consists of the following Teradata applications and database software tools like Teradata Relationship Manager (TRM), Teradata Data Mining Warehouse, Teradata Financial Services Logical Data Model (LDM) etc. Other Teradata customers who have benefited from event-based marketing are National Australia Bank, Industrial Bank Co. Ltd in China, RBC Financial Group and many others.
