BenQ enters Digi Cam segment

NEW DELHI: BenQ has launched its latest digital camera – DC 1300 (1.3 Megapixels) and expects to roll out more models subsequently. The BenQ Digital Camera 1300’s sleek and elegant appearance draws from a striking pearl-white shell that also provides a luxuriously textured feel. The BenQ Digital Camera 1300 can also record video with sound, and serve as a videoconferencing device.


Mumbai-based Roop Technologies has been appointed by BenQ India as its Regional Distributor. Roop Technologies, with about 250 captive dealers, the company has an effective presence in Western India and Southern India. Roop would be distributing the entire range of BenQ’s imaging products that comprise scanners and digital cameras for the Western and Southern region with a focus on Andhra Pradesh.


Umang Mehta, Director — Roop Technologies said, “We would leverage our strengths in terms of reach, promoting the concept of digital lifestyle products in general, and
BenQ’s range of Imaging and Inputs products in particular.” While Roop Technologies would cover the markets in the Western India and Andhra Pradesh, the BenQ digital cameras would also be available through IT Eastern Distribution for Tamil Nadu & Pondicherry, Micromax for North, and Byte Peripherals for Madhya Pradesh.
