BEL implements SAP

BANGALORE: The chairman and managing director of Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), Y Gopala Rao inaugurated the SAP system at the company’s Bangalore Complex at a recent function held here.

With this rollout, the entire Bangalore Unit is on SAP, BEL said in a media statement.

SAP will help synergise the company's resources through information management.

A pilot implementation was done in the Components Strategic Business Unit of BEL's Bangalore Complex in October 2005.

The other SBUs of Bangalore Complex went live in a phased manner during October and November 2006.
