”TCS considers SOA to be a growth engine for the future. We have a strong presence in this area and are currently engaged with global customers on consulting and application development engagements. BEA has a great platform for SOA adoption. We see a tremendous opportunity in meeting customer needs with a joint ‘Go To Market’ strategy with BEA in this space,” said S Ramadorai, CEO and MD, Tata Consultancy Services.

TCS is considering development of a SOA based corporate services infrastructure within which it could be able to deploy a part of the BEA product stack to address the high volume requirements for its global operations.

SOA has emerged as a crucial enabler in the field of on-demand IT and business computing for enterprises. SOA is widely considered as the most effective way of overcoming IT complexities involved in businesses that require their IT systems to be flexible and adaptive enough to address ever-changing business needs.
