BEA strengthens its management team

BANGALORE: BEA Systems today announced three industry veterans to its management team.

Steve Au-Yeung, 42, was appointed senior vice president, APAC sales and operations. He was the vice president and general manager of the Software Global Business Unit for APAC at HP, according to a BEA statement.

According to BEA, Au-Yeung would replace Garrett Ilg, who was leaving the company to pursue other interests.

BEA also announced the appointments of Hyoung-Lae Kim and Philip Richardson.

Kim, 44, would be the company's regional vice president for Korea. He was director of software sales for HP in Korea. Earlier, he had held various management positions at Samsung Hewlett-Packard and Samsung Electronics. Kim would report to Au-Yeung.

Forty-four-years-old Richardson was appointed as the regional vice president for Ireland, the UK and South Africa region. Prior to joining BEA, Richardson was the vice president and managing director for Northern EMEA at Entrust, a player in the information security marketplace.

Richardson had also served as a regional director at Open Market, the enterprise Content Management provider. He had held senior positions at Oxygen Solutions and QSP.
