NEW DELHI: BEA Systems, an application infrastructure software provider is all set to focus on Enterprise Portal Rationalization (EPR) activity in the Indian region. "Over the past many years, organizations have moved more and more business functions online as they became available. But the complexity of competing standards and products can lead to a tangle of disparate technologies that drive up costs with resources. With enterprise portal rationalization (EPR), we help businesses rationalize their web ecosystems," informed BEA Systems director of product management, Naveen Gupta.

The company is going to target the e-governance, finance and the already-active telecom sector for its EPR solution. "We already have around 20 customers for our products in different segments, so we would like to introduce this EPR concept to them," he added.

The company is also looking forward to developing at least two partnerships at the systems integration level in India. "We work very closely with Accenture and HP on a global level. In India, we are talking to HCL to have a systems integration partnership," Gupta added.

Commenting on the difficulty in finding the right kind of channel partner for its products range, Gupta informed that the company is looking forward to exploring business opportunities in all the three verticals of e-governance, finance and telecom for appointing channel partners in the Indian region.

"Identifying the right channel partner is one of the most difficult part of our business. We are looking forward to expanding our base in India, as part of that we would be appointing channel partners as well," he explained.
