Bank of Baroda selects Enterasys' network

BANGALORE: Enterasys Networks, a company dealing with enterprise networking solutions, has announced that Bank of Baroda, a nationalized bank in India, has chosen its networking solution. The network has been successfully implemented at the new corporate office premises of Bank of Baroda in Mumbai.



With system integration service provided by CMS Computers, the network involves Enterasys SSR 8600 switch routers, Matrix E5 switches, RoamAbout wireless kits for easy access across the office premises and Netsight Atlas NMS for managing the entire network.



The network would run core-banking applications, which would be accessed by around 1,000 employees. The network has been designed to ensure the maximum uptime by incorporating redundancy at all levels like module redundancy & link redundancy. The products configured at BOB reinforce the core commitment of Enterasys towards security, availability & mobility (SAM) to the enterprise.



"Enterasys has seen tremendous success in providing mission critical networks to the enterprise especially the verticals like Banks through its solutions approach" said Uday Birje, Country Manager — India & SAARC, Enterasys Networks. "The inherent technological strengths coupled with right partnerships enabled us to provide the necessary solution that was customized to Bank of Baroda," he added.
